Welcome to Goldilocks and the Three Bears’ class. Goldilocks is a class based in Nicol’s phase and is taught by Nicol Hutley (Class Teacher), Natasha Dumelow (Ambassador), Helen Palmer and Harriet Parkin (Teaching Assistants).

We are a total communication classroom, and we work on and use different ways to communicate throughout each day including Makaton, communication boards, symbols and gestures. Following our EYFS 2D curriculum and 3D Discovery curriculum through continuous provision and adult led activities, we engage in sensory-based learning such as mark making in cornflour, water play, edible experiences and sensory stories, children use all their senses. We love to get messy!

We follow our structured daily routines and timetable for teaching and learning with transitions supported by objects of reference, music cues and symbols/ pictures

specific to the children's needs. During each day, the class access interventions like TAC PAC which supports sensory communication, Attention Autism and Intensive

Interaction. In Goldilocks class we love learning in the classroom and making use of our sensory and outdoor spaces throughout the school.
