Welcome to Hares class!
We are based within the Burrow, taught by Laura Betson (Class Teacher). Melanie Bolger (Teaching assistant) and Gemma Hicking (Teaching Assistant).
The pupils are working within the Discovery and Developing pathways of our school curriculum, our learning experiences are explored using a sensory approach, with lots of opportunities for hands on learning. We support all children to develop their communication skills through a total communication approach, through visuals, Makaton and by verbal means. During the school year we will be engaging with outdoor learning experiences, cooking, community visits and many more! Alongside these we will be accessing a range of therapies and interventions such as, intensive interaction, attention autism, TAC PAC, yoga and sensory circuits.

Outdoor learning:
PE sessions will take place each week. Please ensure a labelled PE kit is sent into school ready for these sessions. These kits can be kept in school on the children’s pegs and will be sent home at the end of each half term to be washed.
General notices:
We ask for a contribution of £6 per half term which contributes to regular class cooking sessions and daily snack. We are aiming to enrich the curriculum through a variety of trips and will give you notice of these in advance.
