Class Story

Class Overview

Welcome to Jack and the Beanstalk class, taught by Laura Betson (Teacher), Georgina Gadsby (Teaching Assistant) and Mel Bolger (Teaching Assistant). The pupils in Jack and the Beanstalk class are primarily following the developing pathway of our curriculum.  Learning tasks are delivered in a sensory and engaging manner using a total communication approach.
As a class we enjoy exploring a range of activities throughout our continuous provision linked to our curriculum "Big Question".  We also enjoy taking part in outdoor learning, physical education, cooking, and science activities, as well as building our independence through accessing our local community. The children's wellbeing is at the heart of every day in Jack and the Beanstalk class and pupils routinely engage with a range of therapies and interventions including TACPAC, Attention Autism, and sensory circuits.  We also love to visit the sensory, dark and immersion rooms as well as soft play whilst building our friendships and independence.
